At Balanced Living, 779 Bukit Timah rd
Friday and Saturday. 9.30am-12.00pm

Would like to learn more about the Chakras and how their teachings can bring more Resilience and Grace into your present and future life?

Do you sometimes wish you had the tools to look at your life in a more positive way?
I often used to feel I wasn’t getting the support I needed. I wanted to be guided, parented even, and looked outside myself and to other people for guidance, comfort and happiness.

As I’ve moved through life and had to deal with its inevitable changes and challenges, I have realised, mainly through Yoga, that happiness, Resilience and Grace ultimately have to come from within and not from the people or things around me.
We need to find and trust our inner guide and parent and to live with awareness in the here and now.

Difficult times come to us all. To lead a fulfilled life with more joy we need to learn from those tough moments and rise back stronger using the tools and wisdom we gather from our experience.

To me having Resilience means to be able bounce back from difficult times as soon as possible. To process difficult emotions, accept, forgive where necessary and move forward to enjoying the present moment.
It means getting back into seeing the good in the world and in our everyday lives from a place of genuine acceptance as soon as possible.
In this 2 day workshop you will learn how to guide your mind, body and spirit in practical and accessible ways to lead a more fulfilled and joyous life.

You will do this through carefully selected Yoga poses and sequences, meditations, guided journaling and poetry, all interwoven with learning about the Chakras.

FRIDAY MORNING
The first 3 chakras will be our guides. Grounding and belonging, to fluidity and creativity, to strength and power.
Our morning will involve meditations, journalling and other workshop work on the Chakras. We’ll be emphasising our posture work on the grounding aspects of standing poses emphasising the feet, legs emphasising stamina, strength and poise.

SATURDAY MORNING
Grace is a quality of body, mind and spirit. It’s smoothness, elegance and finesse. It’s also acceptance, compassion, dignity and good will.
On Saturday morning we’ll be moving through a slow alignment based Vinyasa sequence and learning about how the higher 4 Chakras can bring more Grace into our lives. We’ll also be reflecting and learning through stories, poetry and meditations on how the higher Chakras bring a more mindful, spiritual and magical aspect to the everyday

Come and spend the morning practising blissful Yoga interspersed with mindful Yogic teachings and connecting with people like you!
Suitable for all levels of Yogini and Yogi regardless of levels or strength and flexibility.

Sarah’s workshop really opened my mind (and heart!) to a new way of being. She offered several practical ways I could enrich my busy and often overwhelming lifestyle by taking time for myself, in small, manageable ways.  I’m now determined to put these changes into practice.  I hadn’t realised how much I was neglecting my own self-care.  I feel rejuvenated, energised and inspired by her warmth and gentle guidance.  She is also very down-to-earth and explained everything really well. Thank you Sarah!!

About Sarah

I have been practising Yoga since I was a teenager and have taught full time since 2006. I am qualified at the highest level with Yoga Alliance as an E-RYT 500 teacher.
My passion is to guide people though Yoga to find and maintain awareness and calm. To guide people to enjoy their creativity and to ignite a zest for living life with purpose and poetry.

I strive to demonstrate and so kindle kindness, dedication and above all love.

I practice Yoga when life is wonderful, tedious, busy or boring and when anxiety looms and when crisis hits. It highlights the good and calms the hard.

I want to pass all I have learnt on to you to help you build more Resilience and Grace into your present and future life.

Thank you once again for a wonderful week of yoga, relaxation, healthy eating and above all great company !  I had an amazing time and felt honoured to be part of your retreat kula.  You’re an inspirational teacher Sarah - thank you for opening your heart, sharing your strength, wit and wisdom... I can’t wait for your next offering!

“I said: What about my eyes?
He said: Keep them on the road
I said: What about my Passion?
He said: Keep it burning
I said: What about my heart?
He said: Tell me what you hold inside it?
I said: Pain and sorrow
He said: Stay with it. The wound is the place where the light enters you”
