The Yoga of Resilience and
Grace in 2019
At Balanced Living, 779 Bukit Timah rd
Saturday January 19th 2019
Do you feel you give a lot and need to recharge and even perhaps shift your perspective before you can continue to support others?
Would like to be guided through great Yoga sequences, learn simple meditations and practical mindfulness techniques to help you become more resilient?
Do you sometimes wish you had the tools to look at your life in a more positive way, especially as we look towards a new year?
I often used to feel I wasn’t getting the support I needed from those close to me. I wanted to be guided and even parented by those around me and looked to them comfort and happiness. As I moved through life and had to deal with it’s inevitable changes and even tragedies, I realised mainly through Yoga, that Resilience and Grace had to come from within me not from other people or the world around me.
Difficult times come to us all. To lead a good life we need to learn from those moments and find our own inner power and guide.
That doesn’t mean cutting ourselves off from others. We obviously need love and connection.
But ultimately the relationship with have our bodies, hearts and souls are our responsibility and need regular tending to.
I want to show you how I do this and help you do this for yourself.
To me, in essence, having Resilience means to be able bounce back from adversity with agility and Grace.
And having Grace is to move through life in body, mind and spirit with smoothness, mindfulness, elegance and even some finesse!
In this Yoga based workshop you will learn ways to draw on your own inner best friend, guide and support systems.
You will do this through carefully selected meditations, visualisations, guided journaling, poetry, stories and relaxation. All interwoven with the more physical side of postural Yoga.
Come and spend the morning practising blissful Yoga interspersed with mindful Yogic teachings and connecting with people like you.
The perfect workshop to set up you for a more fulfilling 2019
We will begin at 9.30 and end at 12.30.

“I said: What about my eyes?
He said: Keep them on the road
I said: What about my Passion?
He said: Keep it burning
I said: What about my heart?
He said: Tell me what you hold inside it?
I said: Pain and sorrow
He said: Stay with it. The wound is the place where the light enters you”
I have been practising Yoga since I was a teenager and have taught full time since 2006.
My passion is to help others to find their most fulfilling life possible. To guide people to find and keep creative outlets, to find a Yoga path that suits them and to and ignite a zest for living life with purpose and poetry.
I strive to demonstrate and so kindle kindness, dedication and above all love.
I practice Yoga when life is wonderful, tedious, busy or boring and when anxiety looms and when crisis hits. It highlights the good and calms the hard.
Yoga also annoys, challenges and stretches me and it always brings me clearer insight into myself and others.
I know I wouldn't be as patient or self-aware if it weren't for Yoga.
I want to pass all I have learnt on to you to help you build more Resilience and Grace into your present and future life.
