Backbends open the heart, strengthen the back and ignite compassion and kindness.
We’ll be emphasising how to enter poses safely and with ease finding freedom in the neck, shoulders, upper back, lower back and hips.

Open your shoulders and heart in a variety of logically and creatively sequenced poses. This workshop will help you understand how to progress safely into backbends using your core muscles and good alignment.
You’ll also learn more about the Anahata (heart) and Vishuddha (throat) chakra.
Expect a variety of standing poses and backbends, twists and one or 2 arm balances all taught in stages to accommodate all body types and levels of experience.
