Yin Yoga is becoming fast becoming one of the regular classes offered in top studios
.

And for good reason!

This type of Yoga is an excellent way to stillness and meditation. It is the practice of focus and patience whilst still “doing something” with your body rather than sitting in formal mediation.

In Yin Yoga, muscles are relaxed but with the intention to lengthen fascia, tendons, ligaments even harder joint tissues.

You will experience a wonderful, deep stretching and lengthening of the connective tissues that support major joints and ligaments. particularly around the lower back and hips which are so often tight and uncomfortable.

In this workshop I’ll be interspacing our Yin sequences with alignment based and flow poses and sequences to contrast and punctuate the Yin. This gives your muscles the chance to move, strengthen and heat up as well as your mind a break from the introspection of Yin.

You’ll also learn more about this wonderful practice of contrasts which makes up a large part of our regular Saturday morning classes.

I’ll lead you through meditations and visualisations as well as teach you more about the back ground and development of Yin Yoga, it’s purpose and how that relates to the flow of energy around the body.

It’s also going to be fun and a great way to meet some great fellow Yoginis and Yogis!
All levels students will be taken good care off and offered more accessible or more advanced levels of poses when needed.
